Many game servers will let you set up a redirect for faster downloading of mod and map files by using a web server. To take advantage of this you'll need to follow a few simple steps.

In this example we will use the following settings:

Username: freddy
IP Address: 123.123.123.123

1. In your home directory on the server, create a subdirectory named redirect. This will be /home/freddy/redirect
2. Place your files in that directory. Please note that some games will require certain directory structures to be setup so the clients can find the files on the web server.
   
3. You will have to then specify in your server config the download url for the redirect. In this case it will be: http://123.123.123.123/~freddy/
